During the month of October from 1st-31st, Stampin’ Up! have a terrific Paper sale on where you can save 15% off on selected designer series paper designs. So to celebrate I am sharing some of my creations that I have made using a selected pack of paper. Today’s paper is Magic in The Night.

Magic In The Night is full of spooky images, just in time for Halloween. However with the detailed imagery and striking colours of Pretty Peacock, BlackBerry Bliss, Cajun Craze and Basic Black, I thought it could be used for other occasions. Although I did throw in a spooky one…. just for fun.

For this card I attached the Designer series paper to a Rich Razzelberry card base and I used the Old World Embossing Folder with the Pretty Peacock card stock and attached this to the card front. I then fussy cut the flowers out of the Magic In the Night Designer Series Paper . I stamped the owl from the Have a Hoot stamp set and coloured the little owl in with Crumb Cake blender pens. The sentiment is from The Ridiculously Awesome stamp set which is inspired by the fabulous million dollars sales achiever Ronda Wade, stamped in versamark with white embossing powder and Basic Black card stock. Lastly I finished it off with some Glittered Organdy Ribbon and some rhinestone Basic Jewels.

For this card I used a Basic Black card base. I die cut some frames out using the Stitched Rectangles dies in Basic Grey and Crushed Curry card stock. I also die cut one of the frames out of the Magic In The Night designer series paper, I then layered these frames and attached them to the Basic Black card base. On top of these layers sits a Cajun Craze card stock die cut from the Stitched Rectangles dies which was then run through the die cutting machine using the Meadow Moments embossing folder. The flower is stamped in Memento ink from the Prized Peony stamp set and cut out using the Peony dies. I coloured the flower in using the Stampin’ Blends, in So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze. The sentiment is from the Ridiculously Awesome stamp set.

For the spooky card I used the Have a Hoot bundle with the Magic In The Night Designer series paper. The Peek-A-Hoot dies cut out the three label type windows all at the same time. With the little owls stamped on the card front they appear to be peeking out from behind the windows. The sentiment is stamped on Pumpkin Pie card stock and attached behind the bottom window. The spider and the web are cut out from black card stock that I have covered with clear packing tape to give it the shiny appearance.

I hope you have enjoyed reading about my projects using the Magic In The night Designer Series Paper.
