Artistry Blooms

I have to be honest with you when I first saw this paper I was really unsure of how I would use it. It’s bright and vividly intense with colour. I’m more of a natural colour girl, brown and greens are my favourite colours.

So when I saw this paper was on special this month, my thoughts went straight to summer, bright, colourful, and beaming with colour. Let me share a couple of cards I have made with the Artistry Blooms paper.

Using the Artistry Blooms paper in the background I instantly saw sunset and imagined being down on the beach here on the Mornington Peninsula where we live and seeing the colourful beach Bathing Boxes lining the sand. To create the Bathing Boxes I used the Coming Home stamp set and matching dies and stamped them directly onto the Artistry Blooms paper in all different brightly coloured Designer Series Paper.

To create the sand I used the Tasteful Textile embossing folder with So Saffron card stock and sponged around the edge and lightly over the top with a sponge dauber and So Saffron ink.

The cute little Beetle car is from the Coming Home stamp set but I hand drew the surf board on top. The palm trees are from the Timeless Tropical stamp set stamped in Memento black ink.

While I was creating this card the thought of a winter night sky popped into my head. So I started creating. To achieve this look I also used the same Coming Home Stamp set.

It just goes to show you that the possibilities are endless with the Artistry Blooms paper, and the bonus is that it is currently 15% off from 1st- 31st October. There are 15 different papers on special all month so don’t forget to check back in tomorrow to see which one I will be using for tomorrow’s card.
