Mother’s Day was on Sunday and I hope all the mums had a relaxing day, I spent the day cleaning.. you know vacuuming, washing clothes doing dishes etc all the jobs that mums have to do.. Admittedly I didn’t have to cook because you awesome husband did that for me. Here’s me with the vacuum… I think the mums out there can relate..😉
All the house work put aside I did get into the craft room and made a beautiful card for my mum which I can now share with you.
Using the Parisian Blossoms specialty designer series paper with the lovely champagne foil accents as a base for my card, I built it up with an extra layer on the bottom and some lovely Petal Pink metallic edge ribbon as a topper to disguise the join between the two papers.
The image of the mother and girl from the Beautiful Moments stamp set stamped in soft suede ink. Coloured in with a aqua painter dabbed onto my ink pad to get a hint of colour on the dresses. I thought this was a great image to use for a mother and daughter to celebrate Mother’s Day with.
From here I used a die and stamps from the Ornate Garden suite to create the sentiment, these are coming up in the new annual catalogue available in June, however you can get them now because Stampin’ Up! have released them early… lucky huh..
Oh and not to forget the little butterfly that is stamped from the Positive Thoughts stamp set and punch out with the butterfly duet punch. Finally I stamped on the inside of the card with a sentiment that would suit most mums and daughters.
I hope you like my card as much as my mum did..even if it was a bit girly for her..💕
