This week on Breakfast with Bec I created a Fancy fold card with an added gift card holder inside. This card is very simple to create and it can be made for any occasion that may arise.
I used the Happy Holidays stamp set to create this “for you” card. This stamp set is meant to be a Christmas one but with a different sentiment it can be used for any occasion. With an added gift card pocket inside the card for a gift card or cash, it truely is a very versatile card.
I started this card by cutting 10.5cm x 29.7cm in Basic black card stock and scoring it at 7.4cm on each end and folding it towards the centre of the card. Then I cut a card front in Basic Black card stock to 10.5cm x 14,8cm and some Simply Elegant designer series paper to 10cm x 14.3cm.
Stamping the little bird on some Basic white card stock in Basic Gray ink and then colouring it in with my Smokey Slate stamping blends and lifting some colour off to give it depth with my colour lifter and then die cutting this out using my largest layering circle dies and adhering it to the designer series paper card front using some Stampin’ Dimensionals. Wrapping some Basic white twine around the bottom of the card and attaching the smallest Tailor Made Tag with a bow, stamped with the For You sentiment on it in Basic Gray and the holly stamped in Mint Macaron to finish of the card front.
Attaching this to the Basic black card stock using Multipurpose liquid glue and the attaching that to the top fold using some Stampin Dimensionals
I have used the Simply Elegant designer series paper for these cards and the best thing about this paper is there is lots of prints in it that could be used for male cards as well.
To finish the inside of the card off I attached some more of the Simply Elegant designer series paper cut to 10cm x 9cm, to the top of the card.
Punch an opening in the bottom flap using the Label me lovely punch and then adhere this flap with adhesive on each side to create a pocket.
Die cut the largest tag from the Tailor made tag die set and stamp some holly in the bottom corner in Mint Macaron ink. Tie a black bow on it and attach the tag to the card to finish it off.
