Poinsettia Place

With poinsettias, pine cones and holly, nothing quite says Christmas like these iconic images. In traditional tones of Real Red, Old Olive, Garden Green , Bumblebee and Soft Suede you will have no problem making Christmas cards using Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper that embody elegant beauty.

For today’s card I started with a Very Vanilla card base and a Very Vanilla card front. I then stamped the Drybrush background stamp in Crumb Cake ink.

Using the Celebration Label dies I die cut the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper out in two layers. Sponging around the edge of the second layer with Old Olive ink and a Sponge dauber.

The third layer on the card front is cut from Very Vanilla card stock and stamped with the sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set in Soft Suede ink.

The beautiful thing about the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper is that some of the dies in the Poinsettia Dies cut the poinsettia flowers out directly from the paper. I have done this and adhered it to the card front.

Finally I die cut some leaves from the Poinsettia Dies in Old Olive card stock sponged around the edge with Old Olive ink and a Sponge dauber. The flower bud is from the same Poinsettia Dies and are cut from Brushed Metallic card stock then placed under the poinsettia flower. Looping the gold cord into a bow and tucking that under as well.

I hope you have enjoyed reading all about my card today and if you would like more detail, I am doing a Facebook live tomorrow making this exact card. Hope you can stop by and have a look.

This paper is so stunning and gorgeous and really screams traditional Christmas and the bonus is that it is currently 15% off from 1st- 31st October. There are 15 different papers on special all month so don’t forget to check back in tomorrow to see which one I will be using for tomorrow’s card.
