Playing With Patterns

Today I started working with the Playing With Patterns Designer Series Paper. This paper comes in vivid colours and many different patterns from stripes, scallops, polka dots and more. It is perfect for any occasion you want to celebrate.

I decided to make a teenage inspired card, as I don’t usually make these and find I have to quickly make one every time my nephew or neices birthdays come round.

I was on a simple vibe tonight creating these cards, and the Playing With Patterns designer series paper makes it easy to do. With the many various patterns you can simply punch or cut out a shape and simply adhere it to a card base. Here I have trimmed a piece of Playing With Patterns designer series paper and attached it to the side of my card base. Sponging the edges with Night Of Navy ink and a Sponge Dauber.

Then I cut a square piece of Playing With Patterns designer series paper and using a Sponge Dauber and some Crushed Curry ink I sponged around the edge of this and adhered it to the card front.

To create the sentiment I used the Pattern Play stamp set and stamped the “Cue the confetti” stamp in Night Of Navy ink on a circle of the Playing With Patterns designer series paper that I punched out using the 2 1/4 inch Circle Punch. To finish the sentiment off, I sponged around the edge and stamped the little star type stamp from the Pattern Play stamp set in Crushed Curry ink.

With all the different patterns it just goes to show you that the possibilities are endless and the bonus is that it is currently 15% off from 1st- 31st October. There are 15 different papers on special all month so don’t forget to check back in tomorrow to see which one I will be using for tomorrow’s card.
