Hello thanks for stopping by.
I have been working on swaps for a group that I’m in for our new Mini Holiday catalogue swap. What is a swap I hear you ask? Well basically a swap is where you create the same card x amount of times and then mail them to the group. You will then receive x amount of cards back all from different people for the group with different ideas. It’s a great way to see all the new products from the new catalogue in action.
This was my swap I created eleven of these cards in an afternoon. Here are some of my tips to create multiple cards using thrifty ideas to get more out of your time and materials.
For my background I have stamped the leaves stamp from Wishes and Wonder stamp set on the top of my card. To save time and ink I have placed two card bases together and stamped two at the same time.
I embossed the bottom of my card base with the Wrapped in Texture embossing folder. By putting the bottom of two card bases in half way on the embossing folder I could run the two bases through my die cutting machine at the same time.
To save card stock I used a die from the Celebration Labels Dies and cut out the middle of the card bases. I can do this because when the card is made you won’t see the bit underneath after I put the top Real Red piece of card stock over the top. I also did this with the Wonder of the Season specialty designer series paper that is under the Real red card stock. Doing this gives me a piece of card Crumb Cake card stock and Designer series paper already cut for another project in the future.
When I was attaching the Designer series paper to the bottom of the front Real red card stock I put the bottom of the two together and ran my Stampin Seal along the bottom to get adhesive on both card fronts. This made it easy then to attach the ‘Tis the season designer series paper to the bottom of my card front.
These are just some of my time saving tips that I use in my crafting. I hope you can use them in your crafting. I’m always on the look out for time and product saving ideas. If you have any ideas that you would like to share I would love to hear about them.
