I simply can not stop working with this lovely Prized Peony stamp and die set. I also love vintage looking cards. So to create this card I reverted back to using my favourite colours together Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla. These colours without fail always give you a vintage look to your card making.
To start of I used my Dainty Diamonds embossing folder and inked it with Cherry Cobbler and then lightly touched the very vanilla card stock to make the pattern appear softly in the back ground. With a sponge dauber I applied Cherry Cobbler ink to the edge and corners. I then used my snips to roughen the edges to make the card look like its old.

I used Soft Suede and stamped the background using the Comfort and Hope stamp set that I received free as a bonus from a sales challenge that Stampin’ Up! ran earlier in the year. It’s great that Stampin’ Up! have these challenges it’s, all part of the perks of being a demonstrator. If you want to know more of the perks check out my join my team page here. Join My Team I then used the old world paper 3D embossing folder to give it a crinkled paper look.

Die cutting the peony 3D die cut flower from the Peony Dies makes the flower using Cherry Cobbler. Inking it with a sponge dauber in Cherry Cobbler on the edges to give it shading. In Early Espresso I stamped the large flower from the Prized Peony stamp set and cut the head off of it to leave the stem remaining. I then coloured the leaves with Stampin’ Blends Old Olive and shaded the edge of it with my sponge dauber in Early Espresso. I used my Stampin’ Blends in Cherry Cobbler to colour in the bud.

Monogram Messages was the perfect stamp set to use for the sentiment. I stamped the large H in Early Espresso, fussy cut it out and then stamped Versamark on it and heat embossed it in clear embossing powder, to give it a shine, I did the same with the little butterfly from the same stamp set for above the flower. Backing the happy birthday with Early Espresso card stock makes the sentiment stand out.

Whilst adhering the card base to the card front I rolled the corner with a small paint brush to get a nice tight roll. Embellished with braided linen trim, that I pulled apart and adhered across the front of the card front.
I hope you like my card as much as I did creating it. I’m sure you will fall in love with this bundle as much as I have. If you would like to check it out you can at my online store here. Bec’s House Of Craft Online Store
